SPLIT SYSTEMS

'Split System' refers to air conditioning units that are 'split' into two parts - the compressor, which is located outside and the head unit, which is mounted indoors on the wall or ceiling or floor standing.

A Split System is ideal for cooling individual areas of your home with Inverter technology ensuring efficiency in operation.

An inverter model is more powerful, yet more energy efficient than conventional, non inverter models. Conventional Air Conditioners operate at a fixed speed, delivering a fixed amount of cooling (and heating if reverse cycle). As they try to maintain the set temperature they operate on a 'stop/start' principle. Start up is the time most power is used. Inverter technology operates differently. It works by gently increasing or decreasing the power. It reaches the desired temperature quicker and maintains it without wild (stop/start) fluctuations. That results in more even comfort and significant energy savings.

DUCTED AIR CONDITIONERS

Ducted Air Conditioning can provide you with total comfort throughout your home. The indoor unit can be located in the ceiling or under the floor and the compressor is installed outside. Flexible ductwork channels conditioned air through vents located in chosen areas throughout the house.

The flexibility of zoning means you can operate the system in say, the living area during the day and bedrooms at night, saving money on energy costs.

EVAPORATIVE COOLING

Evaporative Cooling comprises a central cooling unit on your roof- which is connected to a series of outlets/ceiling vents throughout your home. The outdoor cooling unit draws outside air through moistened pads. As the air passes through these pads, the air is cooled and filtered before flowing through the ductwork in to your rooms. Windows are left open to allow air to circulate resulting in the air in your home cycling every 2 minutes.
