Having worked on this property for the previous owner, we were delighted to be engaged to supply and install a variety of new systems and make alterations to existing systems following extensive renovations. When designing heating and cooling for a home of this size, attention to detail is paramount. With this in mind, we had many meetings with the owners and their builder prior to commencement and kept in constant contact throughout the project.

The light coloured furnishings and fine lines of this home are perfectly suited to Hydronic Heating and Ducted Air Conditioning, where the grills and radiators blend into their surroundings. In this home, we used the Radiant 98.3% efficient condensing boiler with Korado radiators and In Slab Hydronic Heating. A zoned Daikin Ducted Air Conditioning system and Daikin VRV Mini Ducted Bulkhead Air Conditioning system round out a complete heating and cooling package.

Architecturally designed and professionally decorated, this Surrey Hills home has the best of both worlds!

Upstairs is kept cool on hot summer days by Daikin ducted reverse cycle air conditioning using unobtrusive multi-directional vents in the ceiling. Of course, as this system is reverse cycle, a push of a button turns it into a heater on cold winter nights. Downstairs, heating and cooling is provided through a combined gas ducted heating and add on air conditioning system using a carefully designed single duct network under the floor. Controlled by a convenient, wall mounted thermostat, this system is also zoned to ensure maximum efficiency and effectiveness.

Large windows in this 2 storey home in Northcote meant careful consideration needed to be given to the heating and cooling load requirements. Requiring a greater kilowatt capacity than a single system can provide we elected to use two separate styles of heating and cooling.

Brivis Gas Ducted Heating with Brivis intergrated Add On Air Conditioning has been used throughout with multi-directional outlets. In the kitchen/family areas bulkheads were constructed to accommodate Daikin mini ducted bulkhead systems. A stand alone gas log fireplace was installed in the comfortable sitting room creating a cosy environment to curl up with a favourite book.

Planning and design were the key when considering heating and cooling solutions for this magnificent, multi faceted home in Balwyn. In consultation with the builder and owners we designed a variety of systems to suit the various area of the home. Upstairs is cooled by Breezair Evaporative Cooling ducted to multi-directional outlets in the ceiling. This system takes advantage of Melbourne’s arid climate with the opening of windows allowing air to circulate resulting in a natural feeling form of cooling.

Still our most popular form of heating, Brivis Gas Ducted Heating is used to effectively heat the home through a series of ducts. In a home this size layout and design of duct was crucial in achieving an even distribution of air. A series of bulkheads were created to house Daikin Concealed Ducted Bulkhead Air Conditioning. Fitted off with white aluminium linear bar grills, these systems heat and cool the home as an alternative to evaporative cooling and gas ducted heating.
