Architecturally designed and professionally decorated, this Surrey Hills home has the best of both worlds!
Upstairs is kept cool on hot summer days by Daikin ducted reverse cycle air conditioning using unobtrusive multi-directional vents in the ceiling. Of course, as this system is reverse cycle, a push of a button turns it into a heater on cold winter nights. Downstairs, heating and cooling is provided through a combined gas ducted heating and add on air conditioning system using a carefully designed single duct network under the floor. Controlled by a convenient, wall mounted thermostat, this system is also zoned to ensure maximum efficiency and effectiveness.
Planning and design were the key when considering heating and cooling solutions for this magnificent, multi faceted home in Balwyn. In consultation with the builder and owners we designed a variety of systems to suit the various area of the home. Upstairs is cooled by Breezair Evaporative Cooling ducted to multi-directional outlets in the ceiling. This system takes advantage of Melbourne’s arid climate with the opening of windows allowing air to circulate resulting in a natural feeling form of cooling.
Still our most popular form of heating, Brivis Gas Ducted Heating is used to effectively heat the home through a series of ducts. In a home this size layout and design of duct was crucial in achieving an even distribution of air. A series of bulkheads were created to house Daikin Concealed Ducted Bulkhead Air Conditioning. Fitted off with white aluminium linear bar grills, these systems heat and cool the home as an alternative to evaporative cooling and gas ducted heating.
